OOooOOoooOOoooh. New stuff!

Hello Ladies!
Didja miss me? :P

I'm feeling a bit better (my ebay purchases arriving cheered me up heaps - not to mention Scandalous's package!) and I have bags of stuff to show you - but rather than bash it all out into one long post I'll pace myself as best I can. This means even if i'm feeling crummy I'll still have something to post.

First off - the first thing I tired out of Scandalous's Package (hereforth known as "the haul") was China Glaze's Matte Magic - I wanted to see what it would do to my gradient mani.

Up next was this little beauty that Scandalous insisted I try first.
Your wish is my command!
Unless your wish is for me to do clean up right now.
Acetone is making me cough and when you feel like your lung is ripping open every time you cough I think not doing clean up is excusable.

Because I'm new to the whole nail polish blogging scene AND am living in Australia I was completely oblivious to all the buzz going on a while back about this polish.
But now I know.
And for those of you that don't - meet opulent cloud.
A dark purple tinged pewter with a soft gold flash. At first it didn't grab me, but it's growing on me the more I look at the bottle.

I'm a bit undecided about how I feel about Sally Hansen polishes - the watery but nice black, the AMAZING pink, the laughable "Xtreme" wear, and of course let's not forget the "natural" shade that was paler than Edward Cullens skinny eternally pre-teen arse.

So stay tuned my lovelies! There's HEAPS more to come!

I have opulent cloud but still haven't tried it. I sorta love Sally Hansen, but not the price. It's just too much for some of the lines. $8 for a drugstore polish when I only pay $7.50 for OPI, I don't think so.

LOL prices here are totally wacky and different - i'll make a post sometime to give everyone an idea of the stupid prices Australians are forced to pay!

I love Opulent Cloud and it looks great on you! I have to agree that the Sally Hansen prices are a little wacky. I've been wanting to try out the new "Complete Salon" line, but they're so expensive...

I have Opulent Cloud and I love it, it is definetely the kind of polish that grows on you!

Stephanie - thanks love! I just don't know what to think - I mean they're great but at the end of the day - is the stuff they come up with really worth paying THAT much?

gildedangel - When i opened the box it was definitely not the first thing I gravitated to... but I totally agree!

PowerLifterChick - thank you so much! I have the same shaped hands and nails as my grandmother - my mother, aunt and sister all got hands like my grandad - squareish with sort nails - but I got lucky! The least I can do is keep them looking pretty and make the most of the genes I was given. :)

Skye - thanks so much! Do you buy your China Glaze on eBay? I'm so lucky to have been given the Sally Hansen - i understand it was a limited release in America only!

Haha I don't even remember which OPI I sent. I'm terrible. Was it Boris and Natasha? I'm a retard

Ooh, that was really pretty mattified too! I love it.
I was on the fence about getting myself a bottle of Opulent Cloud, but after I saw it for myself, I was very glad I did. It totally grew on me.
The prices are crazy! The Xtreme Wear polishes are the cheapest of the bunch, but I feel like those have the best colors, and the best brush - I don't like the brush that they put on the Insta Dris and the new Complete Salon either. I'm getting used to it, but I still don't like it. For sure those Complete Salon polishes are far too expensive. But for the most part, I like the polishes!

Scandalous - yep yep - posting those next!

Nicole - I generally won't buy Sally Hansen unless its super awesome/in a sale bin. It's not a brand I actively look for but every now and then (like with the pink) i'll come across one and NEED it haha!
