OH.. MY... SWEET... GOD...
Could this be any more lush?

Okay how I did this one was apply Manglaze - Fuggen Ugly all over the nails (as you saw yesterday)

Then I took some of those french tip stickers, the flat ones not the curved ones (I think they're for toenails?) and cut them in half. 

I then stuck them onto the other half at a 90 degree angle while still on the backing paper, peeled the whole thing off and stuck it down on my nails, then applied Manglaze - Hot Mess over the tips.

Look pretty awesome I reckon!

Because I had two different finishes to work with here I thought it would be a good chance to do a matte top coat comparison. Here's what I ended up with!

Hi everyone!

This is what I wore for most of last week - yes in a corporate office - no one seemed to care so I went with it! I had a package in the mail from the VERY amazing Tiffani. This is - of course - Manglaze Fuggen Ugly. It is DIVINE.

Mattified shimmery goodness! *drool*

Application on this was awesome - I've never worked with matte polishes before but I always crap up matte topcoats, need to get used to the fast drying idea! But just look... look... now I have a secret to tell you... come closer... closer...

*whispers* I didn't do cleanup on this...

Not that you could tell from it being all jacked up around my cuticles... blargh... but yes... manglaze is a dream... I'm off to buy more! Ta ta!

Christmas Beetle Nails [Image Heavy Post]

This is the same as my last post, one coat of Orly Ridge Filler (also, notice this has removed the bubbles from my polish lately? It's another from "The Haul" - definitely a winner!) with 2 coats of Colour Club - After Hours, 1 coat of Seche Vite, One coat of Essie - Matte About You, with 2 coats of Inglot - 203, 1 coat of Seche Vite, Finally one coat of Essie - Matte About You in the last couple of photos. Phew!

Also, sorry about the picture quality, the sun ran away and had to shoot indoors and I have VERY shaky hands!

For those of you in Aus (I'm not 100% sure about anywhere else) I saw Inglot was having a nail polish sale on friday - polishes for $5!!! Not sure if that includes the flakes (I didn't go in, was broke and knew I'd go mental) but run! Now!

After Hours and Matte - 50 FOLLOWERS WHOOO!

Hay all!

Another from "The Haul" (I still have 3 more to swatch! And I'm out of cotton balls!) - this one's Colour Club's After Hours! I topped it with Seche Vite. Yum yum.

I wanted to see how it looked matte - I've learned from experience only to do this to shimmers! This will keep me happy for AGES as a go-to polish for clubbing.
Frikking love it. It's not quite Manglaze awesome but looks wicked. Looooove it.

I don't think it's quite shimmery enough to be a manglaze dupe. Being from Australia means unless I can get a whole lot of people together to get the real thing it's out of reach for me. :(

On another note I see I've just hit the big 5-0. I was hoping to have a giveaway at 50 but we'll see how my finances go this week! :)

Safe for work...

Hi everyone!
The other day I had a job interview so my lovely colours had to be removed and do... safe for work colours.

Ugh. I hate it. I mean, just because my nails are holographic turquoise (they're not...) doesn't mean I can't be professional, right? Better to play it safe in the interview stage I figure.

This is Avon Nailwear in "Venus" - i've had this one FOREVER. I got this at the same time I got a pastel purple - and I remember wearing that to primary school! Gak!

I mattified it... thought it would make it look cooler. It did, purely because matte is a novelty to me still (lol)

On another note - I received these two lovelies in the mail!
Yaaay!

And oh... my... god... how have I been polishing my nails for this long without Seche Vite? It's AMAZING. Though I've heard scary stories of tip shrinkage and it going gloopy after using only half a bottle - any tips on how to work this stuff the right way?

I wasn't happy with the application - no idea if it was the polish or me but every time i put another coat on it took more off at the base of my nail.
Humph.

I thought it would look nice with my new China Glaze matte magic over the top...
