Zombie Foots

Hello my lovelies!
I bought some craft sponges from a hardware store to do some gradients!
I've seen this idea on another blog  - (unfortunately I can't seem to find it again - if its you, let me know and you will get credit where it's due!) and thought it was just too awesome not to try!
Unfortunately I've run out of nail polish remover so I still have my black and white konad on so while my boyfriend was playing Fallout 3 I painted his toenails!

I was originally going to try something different but wanted to keep it GothBoy friendly so zombie it is!

Here's some pics I took pre cleanup:

Can you see the dark green shimmer in the blackish polish? The green glows under UV - it's still dark green but it definitely has a slight glow - how strange!

And after cleanup (Well, a shower):

What do you think?  I would have LOVED to have had some Matte TC to put over the top - but OH WELL...

Please be kind - it's my first shot at using sponges and i'm still trying to work out how much polish to load them with.
How do you do it?
I just painted it on the sponge but when that wasn't enough i put it over the mouth of the nail polish bottle and gave it a shake!
That turned out to be a little too much.
Next time i might just put a blob on, say, an empty ice cream container lid, then pick some up with the sponge.

Do they make you think of zombies? Or something else? All i can say is the Boy is content with his zombie polish. :)

Love,
Photobucket

Haha. Does he play computer games? I jsut sat on the floor while he was fighting a DeathClaw which meant he didn't have the time to tell me to stop. Heehee! I have it easy in that Jai usually wears black and green nail polish anyway. Lol he also loves stealing my eyeliner!

I am insanely jealous. Ry is so conservative. He let me paint his toes in college but he was drunk half the time lol Hes a computer programmer. Maybe sometime when he's screwing with linux or something I can trick him...

Awesome! You did a great job on the zombie boy toes!
I have some pretty hilarious pictures of my boyfriend's toes on my blog.

This is the best combination of creepy and cool! Love the idea of zombie feet. Now all I need is a boy who will let me polish his toes... hehe.

April and Ashley - thanks so much! I'm wandering off to check out your blog now.
Do you find the boys are like "NO YOU CAN'T PAINT MY NAILS! Oh wait... toes? Yeah okay..."
haha!

Danielle - thanks so much - I was originally going to do his fingers but he wouldn't let me - but the toes seem to have gone down very well!

Omg, those are horrific. I totally think feet are gross. Man feet are even grosser, man feet zombified is the WORST. *Shudder*

PerryPie - sorry to subject you to that hun - I had the idea and really wanted to try it but didn't have any nail polish remover to remove my manicure at the time and he wouldn't let me paint his fingernails!
